In her holistic nursing practice, Bonnie provides and teaches hands-on energetic healing to individual clients, health care professionals and laypersons. In addition, she taught and supervised holistic nursing students in their field placements, serving as adjunct faculty at Tennessee State University’s master level holistic nursing program.
She provides a healing ministry to members of her church community as well as teaches healing and leads healing services at churches and ecumenical retreat centers.
Bonnie’s philosophy of healing, which she lives and teaches, is that as we heal we are helping to heal others and the earth. She extends her healing efforts toward the earth by planting and protecting trees. An avid gardener of native plants and trees, Bonnie has created a haven for birds and wildlife at her Nashville, Tennessee home.
For over twenty years, she has studied spirituality, holistic nursing and healing through the international Healing Touch Certificate Program, Therapeutic Touch Professional Associates, American Holistic Nurses Associations and the Healing Light Center, She is a Registered Nurse (New England Deaconess School of Nursing), Certified Healing Touch Practitioner and Instructor, Certified Holistic Nurse, and Master’s prepared Child Development Specialist (George Peabody College); and has studied religion at Scarritt College graduating with a BA in Behavioral Sciences.
Her writings have appeared in Tennessee Nurse and School Age Notes, the international newsletter for school-age care professionals where she was the editorial manager for eleven years. Her multimedia presentation: Telling Our Story: Holistic Nursing and Healing has been a keynote feature at the annual conferences of the Tennessee Nurses Association, Healing Touch International, and the American Holistic Nurses Association. Her children’s story (What would you do if Sammy hit you?) was broadcast on Arkansas radio.
In her healing work, Bonnie is guided and supported by the spiritual presence and counsel of Mary Magdalena whom she first communicated with as a three year old growing up in a small Massachusetts city. Through this guidance, Bonnie has developed many energetic healing techniques, including the Six-Pointed Star Meditation, Three Gates and Three Cauldrons, the Amygdala Connection: calming the runaway heart, and the Chakra Correspondence.
